When I’m overthinking, it’s time to sit and write.
For as long as I can remember, I have found comfort and peace in writing. In the art of capturing the chaos in my head and transferring it to paper. Paper and pen have been my therapeutic tools to slow down the swirling thoughts taking space in my mind and storing them on a page. Sunday sermon notes, emotional expressions, questions about life, excitement over connecting dots in God’s word and praise.
But life is hectic and stressful and I can let it steal away time to spend writing and talking to God through writing. So it became apparent I need some accountability for myself.
Thus, Image She Bears blog was born.
Hi there! My name is Veronica, I’m so glad you stumbled across my page! Journaling has always been a balm to my soul - my pensive for when thoughts become too much.
This blog began as a simple tool to keep myself diligent in practicing the art of writing while reflecting on the lessons God is teaching me each day.
We are created in God’s image, and when we put our faith in Jesus Christ, we hold the title of Christian. In the early days of the church, followers of Jesus were dubbed Christian - little Christ - in an attempt to insult. When in reality, to live a life to the point someone calls you a little Christ is the best compliment we can receive.
I have a hunger for knowing God, for growing as a disciple in Jesus and pray that I live a life reflecting His image.
We live as image bearers of Christ, and we don’t live this life alone. We learn and grow when we share our lives and how God is working in us with one another. I personally invite you in to some of the swirling thoughts that have landed on paper and on the journey to bear His image as a little Christ.
